From Wycliffe,
Hello Brother Ben, Brother Moffat needs some more Somali and Borana books. Here is what he told me over the phone yesterday.
“My brother, I thank God for the great things he is doing among the Boranas and the Somalis. I am working with the UN to get permission to go to Dadaab refugee camp and share the Gospel with the refugees. Please keep praying. For now, I kindly need some more books. I need 300 copies of the Somali lessons 1-20, and 500 more copies of the Borana lessons 51-68.
God has brought more servants that are working with me to spread the truth in these booklets. Thank you as well for the transport of the books that you have helped me with. God bless you.
If God allows, kindly support me with 10,000 shillings to buy some things for my family. Once again, thank you for being there for me, and it is always a blessing talking to you. Yes, I will be calling with testimonies, but you know that the network on this side is a problem. Sometimes, I just switch off the phone to concentrate on the Gospel.
A while ago, I went to a Borana family that I gave the books to and we had a great testimony from the man of the house. Here is his testimony:
‘Ever since we began to read these books in our own language, we now know more about God. My family is happy and I am a proud husband.
We have lived together for twelve years without a child, and when you gave us the booklets, we started to read and discovered that there were many women in the book of God who were barren. My family told me to marry another woman, but I refused. We came from Moyale on the Ethiopian border to settle here, and because Allah did not answer us, we decided to try the Savior in the booklets.
Sarah was barren, and God gave her Isaac. We prayed to the same God, and He has answered us. My wife is now four months pregnant. Thank you for these booklets. They teach us how to follow God. I then prayed for my friend, Salem, and now, he and his wife are also believing in Christ.’”
